“Hunger deprives our kids of more than just food. It’s a simple fact: a child’s chance for a bright tomorrow starts with getting enough food to eat today,” according to FeedingAmerica.org.

 

In Warren County, food insecurity remains a pressing issue. Data from Map the Meal Gap (2022) revealed that 17.3% of children, 1 in 7 children, experience food insecurity. Our Weekend Meals program ensures hungry children at Monmouth-Roseville don’t have to worry about what they will eat on Saturdays and Sundays.  Each weekend throughout the school year, 80 children in Pre-K through 6th-grade have the security of breakfast, lunch and dinner thanks to the generosity of our community.

 

This year, we’re excited to host our 2nd Annual “A Night at the Races” fundraiser! This immersive and energetic event features pre-recorded horse races, betting windows, and fun money pay outs.  People can enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar and compete with friends to see who is the best bettor. Each guest will receive a racing guide, adding an extra layer of fun and strategy to the evening.

  • Pre-recorded Horse Races: The main event, of course, is the pre-recorded horse races. Your ticket includes fun money to place a $2 bet on each race. Feeling lucky? Additional fun money can be purchased at the event. Plus, there's a special prize for the "Best Bettor." Will it be you?
